Easy to Choose Installation Location
While your Martec 3-in-1 must be installed and located in accordance with AS/NZ 3000 and local building codes relating to damp situations, finding the perfect location is easy!
Your Martec 3-in-1 bathroom heaters are the quickest to install on a flat ceiling with a minimum height of 2m from the floor. It should be at least 400mm from the walls of the room, as well. Your Martec bathroom heater can be installed in any room that requires radiant heating, including bathrooms, ensuites, laundries and more.
Just ensure that adequate inlets exist through windows, vents or under the door for airflow. Our general instructions include:
1: Don’t install the unit directly above a shower or bathtub to stop water splashing on the heat lamps. Instead, position the unit in an area you want maximum warmth – such as the middle of the bathroom, beside the shower or beside the bath, wherever you get dry.
2: Your Martec 3-in-1 bathroom heater is designed for installation on flat ceilings only. Don’t try to mount it on a sloping ceiling or a vertical wall.
3: An exhaust fan works best when the room replaces the same amount of air as the exhaust is extracting. So your room should have good ventilation from windows, under doors, or other ventilation. Your fan won’t work well in an airtight room.
4: Before you begin cutting space for the 3-in-1, check there are no obstructions including ceiling jousts, and that there is sufficient height clearance for the 3-in-1 housing. Also check that electrical routing can be routed from the wall switches to the mounting location.

Using Your Martec 3-in-1 Bathroom Heater
Our bathroom heaters use infrared heating lamps as source of heat for your bathroom. They also combine the function of exhaust and lighting, to be as convenient as possible. The heating, exhaust and lighting options all have independent on/off switches so you can utilise what functions you need. For example, you need lighting when shaving or doing your makeup, but not exhaust or heating. When cleaning the bathroom, you definitely need the exhaust running but not necessarily the lighting or heating. And, of course, when taking a bath or shower, you need all three running (at least during winter).
3-in-1 Bathroom Heater Maintenance
Martec 3-in-1 units are as easy to clean as they are to install. Remember to shut off the power before cleaning. Then simply wipe the lamps and fascia, gently, with a soft cloth and a neutral detergent.
You should also gently clean and wipe the lamps and fascia prior to installation, to ensure they are working perfectly from day one!
